Biodegradable NOVUS Select air cushions are made from 100% recyclable material and can be recycled and reused. If not recycled, Biodegradable NOVUS Select air cushions will biodegrade within 9 to 60 months in the presence of microorganisms, whether they are sent to a landfill or end up as litter in the soil.

How do we know the product will biodegrade?
Numerous plastic samples that use the additive have been tested by independent laboratories, in accordance with standard test methods approved by ASTM and other standardization bodies, to determine the rate and extent of biodegradation of plastic materials.

This FP biodegradable additive does not affect the performance or the shelf life of our product, because biodegradation only occurs in the presence of microorganisms which are present in land lls, home and commercial composting, and other areas where they exist in nature. The products will biodegrade in aerobic (with air) and anaerobic (without air) conditions.
Sealed Air’s Fill-Air inflatable packaging is already known for its reliability and durability, yet Fill-Air Extreme film improves on the original by adding strength to both the material and the edge seal that locks air in.
Fill-Air Extreme film also improves the operator experience. The film runs quietly and the perforations between the cushions release easier with less effort. Also, we have added up to 1,300 linear feet of film to each roll — up to a 45% increase — without increase in roll diameter or weight. This increased length keeps your operators packing longer with fewer changeovers. Perhaps the greatest improvement Fill-Air Extreme film offers is an improved environmental profile.
The film is constituted using 33% less petroleum-based resins. Overall, Sealed Air has been able to reduce its environmental impact when producing this film by 25%.
Why is Fill-Air Extreme a great packaging material?
The WrapPak PS converter forms two sheets of fanfold kraft paper into a resilient and shock absorbing 12-in. wide wrapping pad to protect product during shipment. WrapPak’s packaging wrap is ideal for securely wrapping products, lining the bottom of a box, or product separation. Ranpak’s patented fanfold paper with splicing tape virtually replaces the need to reload the converter, optimizing uptime and throughput while minimizing changeovers. A fully loaded WrapPak PS produces up to 1,500 ft. of wrapping pad on demand — up to six times the amount of a typical roll of bubble.
Geami WrapPak is the combination of a patented die cut kraft paper with a tissue interleaf paper. The Geami WrapPak High Volume (HV) converter expands the die cut paper to a 3D honeycomb structure providing a unique wrapping product. By locking the angled cells together, items are firmly wrapped and no tape is needed. The converter can be placed at any packing station where individual items are packed using a protective wrap.

PadPak Senior is an extremely versatile paper packaging system that converts multi-ply kraft paper into cushioning pads for fast, efficient cushioning, blocking and bracing, and wrapping for all in-the-box packaging needs. Four modes of operation, including pre-set lengths or footswitch, allow packers versatility during packing. The PadPak Senior is also height adjustable, rotates and can be used in a vertical or horizontal position for increased flexibility.

PadPak Junior converts multiple ply kraft paper into a cushioning pad for fast, efficient cushioning and blocking and bracing for small volume packaging needs. The converter forms the paper into a protective, shock absorbing paper pad through a patented folding and stitching process. PadPak Junior is easy to operate and requires minimal operator training. The pad is fed by raising the operator handle to the top position and holding the handle there until the desired pad length is dispensed. The pad is cut by lowering the operator handle to the bottom position.

PadPak LC Features
The PadPak Compact Cushioning (CC) Converter is the solution to pack and protect smaller items at the packer’s work station. Due to the small footprint of the converter, the PadPak CC can be placed on the workstation or on a floor stand next to it. With 1-Ply and 2-Ply options, both light ad heavy products can be packed with excellent protective performance.
The FillPak system converts fanfold kraft paper at a high speed into a PaperStar configuration that maximizes volume, for fast and efficient void fill. Single-ply fanfold kraft paper allows the system to operate at high speeds with virtually no down time. The system can fit over any conveyor system to dispense void fill material directly into the box, making it extremely efficient for random applications. The unique design also allows users to stack and adhere six bundles of paper to maximize uptime and throughput.
FillPak TT converts 15″ single-ply, fanfold kraft paper into a PaperStar configuration that maximizes volume, for fast and efficient void fill material to protect products in shipment. Place a FillPak TT at multiple packing stations to maintain packing efficiency while minimizing material cost and usage. FillPak TT is easily operated by a foot pedal and dispenses void fill material directly into a box, allowing for maximum throughput.

Polycoated Kraft is commonly used in wrapping applications that require a moisture or grease barrier and added strength. It can also be used in pallet liner and tie sheet applications requiring a moisture barrier.

If not recycled, Biodegradable SUPER 8 loosefill will decompose within 9 to 60 months in the presence of microorganisms, whether it is sent to a landfill or ends up as litter in the soil.
Biodegradable SUPER 8 loosefill is also recyclable and can be reused many times. It is collected at over 1,500 locations in the US for reuse. It can be returned for recycling to locations listed in the Alliance of Foam Packaging Recyclers (AFPR) drop-off or mail-in program.

PakNatural is a biodegradable and compostable loose fill product, made from non-food renewable materials, that combines performance and efficiency at a competitive price.
The material is anti- static and provides cushioning protection equal to EPS. Independent tests demonstrate superior performance in keeping products from migrating inside the container during the distribution cycle. PakNaturalTM Loose Fill also offers low dust generation.
With performance superior to starch based products in resisting settling, PakNatural material offers superior void fill efficiency. Additionally, PakNaturalTM Loose Fill reduces storage issues, as it has shown better humidity resistance than starch.
A number of international certification organizations have certified PakNatural Loose Fill as a biodegradable and compostable material, including Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) certification under the organization’s American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) ASTM D6400 test for compostability, German certification organization DIN CERTCO and Belgium-based Vincotte, under the European test EN 13432.*
