UPDATE 3-16-20

Dear Valued Customer,

We are in unprecedented times. With the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the incredible speed at which things are changing around us, we are prepared to adapt our operations and business. I personally want to ensure that every member of our Piedmont family is informed on an ongoing basis, including you. I want to assure you that due to our financial stability, with zero debt and a credit line that exists but has never been used, we can withstand any downturn in business for a substantial period. The fact that we have 16 locations gives us flexibility and redundancy including the ability to move people and product around.

We have been doing ongoing work with all of our key suppliers to monitor any potential supply disruption and/or material shortages that may impact us. At this time, we believe that any disruption or shortages will be minimal, but the risk varies by supplier. Those that manufacture products most closely associated with healthcare such as respiratory protection, for example, have been in a supply shortage for over a month now.  Most of the manufacturers with which we maintain close relationships have assured us they have protocols in place to manage through emergency situations, and are proactively communicating to us any potential challenges they are facing.

In our 70 year history we have faced many challenges and each has made us better prepared for a situation like this. Our people are working tirelessly across our branches, taking every precaution to make sure we are able to service our customers.

As our top priority is to provide a safe environment for all employees, customers, and suppliers while maintaining close to normal business operations, we are taking appropriate actions and precautions regarding sanitization, travel restrictions, limiting access to our facilities, requiring any sick employees to stay at home or work from home and requiring drivers to keep their distance while making deliveries. I hope you will cooperate with us in this regard.

Thank you for your continued business.
