HISTORY OF PIEDMONT NATIONAL

Hugh Marx founds Piedmont Paper Company.

Piedmont moves into new building at 1561 Southland Circle.

Albert Marx becomes President, with George Robbins as Executive Vice President. Hugh Marx is named the Chairman of the Board.

Piedmont Paper Company rebrands to Piedmont National Corporation.

Piedmont expands headquarters at 1561 Southland Circle.

Piedmont acquires Signal Packaging, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN.

Gary Marx is named President and COO. Albert Marx is named CEO & Chairman of the Board.

Piedmont opens a new branch in Charlotte, NC.

Piedmont acquires American Packaging Services with locations in Montgomery, Birmingham, Decatur, and Dothan, AL.

Piedmont acquires AllState Packaging Products in Tampa, FL.

Piedmont opens a new branch in Knoxville, TN.

Piedmont acquires Winder Packaging in Greer, SC.

Piedmont National wins the Kennesaw State University ‘Georgia Family Business of the Year Award’ for medium-sized businesses.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle lists Piedmont National as the 76th largest private business in Atlanta.

Piedmont acquires Integrated Supply Systems in Birmingham, AL. Piedmont opens a new branch in Memphis, TN.

Piedmont establishes a presence in Savannah, GA.

Piedmont acquires DZ Container, Inc. in Carrollton, TX.
