PARTNERSHIPS IN INDUSTRY AND EDUCATION
Bradley County, Tennessee
Piedmont National is excited to partner with the PIE Center, a regional educational center focused on preparing students for postsecondary careers and workforce opportunities. By becoming a part of this planned facility, Piedmont will be influencing the future of labor in the community and the way manufacturing looks at learning pathways.
We are excited to rethink the partnerships between education, manufacturing, and the community in Tennessee.
The PIE Innovation Center’s VISION to create an intensive, strategic student experience by collaborating with businesses, industries, and nonprofit organizations aligns with PNC’s MISSION to provide packaging solutions for a better world.
The PIE Center enables students to choose their own learning path by connecting students with the people, experiences, and opportunities to succeed as an industry leader.
Located in the former American Uniform plant in Cleveland, TN, the PIE Center is conveniently located between Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, and Atlanta. The Center’s reach, as well as Piedmont’s involvement, will stretch beyond the county and state.
With an estimated move-in date of Q1 2023, we are planning our student opportunities for Fall 2023.
We are excited to be a sponsor of the 5G Smart Manufacturing Summit and look forward to accelerating the vision of the PIE Center!
Piedmont National will be training students in end-of-line packaging materials and automation, technical service on warehouse equipment, and kitting and assembly.
We will also host and co-host events in our open showroom, giving students and manufacturers a first-hand look into packaging and shipping processes.
The PIE Center is made up of the following core sections: Career Residency, Compass, Conclave, Connect, CORE, Commons, Medium/Heavy Truck Technology, and The Technology Center.
