Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The front desk clerk/receptionist performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, and record-keeping. Also will perform some general administrative duties for various corporate departments.

  • Answers central telephone system and directs calls accordingly.
  • Receives the public and answers questions, in person and by telephone; responds to inquiries from employees, citizens and others and refers, when necessary, to the appropriate person, official or department.
  • Assists public with the use of department facilities.
  • Maintains office supply inventory.
  • Maintain accurate company-wide phone directory for corporate distribution.
  • Prepares outgoing mail; sorts and distributes incoming mail.
  • Ensures all mail packets for branch locations are made ready for delivery on transfer trucks along with preparing Fed-Ex letter packages as requested and ensure pick up.
  • Prepares all customer invoices for mailing.
  • Sends out credit inquiries daily and records returned documents.
  • Keeps spreadsheet on insurance certificates and files.

Desired Minimum Qualifications 

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping preferred. Two years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.
