Develop objectives to keep pace with evolving technology. Focus on best ways to implement technology to improve productivity at all levels within the company. This should include routine examination of local area networking, software updates and new equipment purchases.
Constantly seek ways to increase the Company’s overall productivity through technology enhancement. Maintain a list accordingly and forward to CEO on a semi-annual basis. Oversee the implementation of any new operating systems. Continuously manage network and local operating systems.
Manage System and software maintenance:
LAN and WAN systems including firewalls
Internet customer order portal
CRM and ERP system software
Business Intelligence software (Qlik Sense and NPrinting)
Office 365 software services
Active Directory and Azure
Resolve all hardware and software issues as they occur within the company while prioritizing the urgency of a given situation.
Ensure accuracy of all phone and internet system invoices while continually searching for cost savings for the company. Present list on semi-annual basis of any appreciable cost savings.
Maintain responsibility for backing up every company network server on a daily basis. Ensure adequate disk space is available for all network systems. Ensure all servers are functional during all normal business hours and beyond, when possible.
Ensure that network and all personal computers are secure. Monitor network and email systems for suspicious activity and ensure all devices are protected by anti-virus/security software.
Desired Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field highly preferred.
Related technical certification preferred.
5 or more years of relevant IT experience, 2 or more years in a management capacity.
Strong knowledge in server architecture, networking and security.
Strong knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
Knowledge of VOIP Phone Systems
Experience in defining and testing disaster recovery plans
Office 365 and directory synchronization
General understanding of ERP Systems
Strong Problem resolution skills in Microsoft Windows Networking Environments.
